I went out last night to an Underground Hip-Hop performance in Raleigh, NC. Much to my surprise, I saw a very interesting hairstyle. I couldn’t quite remember the name, but a friend of mine reminded me that they are called bouffants. At first, I was taken back and I thought they look insane. However, after doing a bit of Google work, I saw a few modern-day bouffants and I pondered if they could make a comeback.

Jackie Kennedy was one of the first to take the style and make it Hollywood.

Mary Tyler Moore was also known for making this style famous.

It started becoming more familiar to me after seeing it in DreamGirls.

We’ve seen it done wrong by Amy Winehouse.

We’ve seen Marge rock the cartoon version.
